Bernice Parent is a certified yoga instructor and a certified teacher in the globally recognized Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction program.

Having worked for over 25 years in the corporate world, I understand the challenges facing leaders, organizations and the people working within them. As a Director of Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness, I have worked with leaders at all levels, and employees. I have been recognized for my ability to connect with others and make a difference.

With a background in Leadership Development, Employee Engagement, Performance Management and Team Building, I continue to offer consulting services in the those areas of my expertise as a board member and to various organizations. As a bilingual educator with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, a Certificate in Adult and Continuing Education, and Project Management, I am seen as a reputable leader in developing organizational changes and bringing passion to my work and projects.

I strongly believe that we can always continue to grow and develop. Being present in our lives allows us to be more aware, compassionate and joyful every day. I have a lot of gratitude for being on this Mindfulness and Yoga journey and I wish to share these practices of awakening, being present to your life and bringing awareness and compassion to everyday living.

Teacher Certification in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) with The Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society, University of Massachusetts Medical School, Worcester, Massachusetts

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Program Fundamentals-8 Week is an immersion in the Centre for Mindfulness 8-week Stress Reduction Program to study the curriculum, program flow and contextual and theoretical background of MBSR.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction in Mind-Body Medicine, an intensive, 7-day residential program teaching mindfulness meditation practice with Jon Kabat-Zinn, developer of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), founder of the Stress Reduction Clinic at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and its Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society, and Saki Santorelli, current Executive Director of the Centre

MBSR Fundamentals, 9-Day a 9-day residential program for trainees with a 5-day immersion in Mindfulness Tools intensive workshop, followed by a 4-day rigorous professional MBSR teacher training.

MBSR Practice Teaching Intensive applied exploration of MBSR fundamentals curriculum over 8 consecutive days, immersion in MBSR methodology and direct experience through simulated teaching. Completion authorizes trainees to teach 8-week MBSR program to the public with CFM “Qualified Teacher” status.

MBSR Individual Supervision actively engage in one-on-one dialogue with a CFM senior teacher for individualized support, guidance, dialogue and feedback. Conducted by online videoconference to investigate, clarify and refine teaching capacity and skill.

Teacher Certification (completed August 17, 2017)Teacher Certification in MBSR is the recognition of in-depth understanding and skillful delivery of the MBSR curriculum, and an acknowledgement that teaching competencies meet all practice standards for MBSR teachers as established by the Center for Mindfulness.
